Support Through Breast Cancer
In 2015 after having had breast cancer and testing BRCA2 positive, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy with immediate TRAM reconstruction which left me with painful cording and tightness in my arm and body.
It was Physiokey/Medkey Therapy that helped my body to heal, reduced my pain and restored function to my range of movement.
My clients who have experienced pain from cording and peripheral neuropathy post treatment/surgery, have found relief with Physiokey/Medkey Therapy.
Their symptoms have ranged from pain, cording and tightness to tingling and feelings of numbness in both the hands and feet.
With regular treatment they have noticed a marked reduction in their pain and improved sensation and function.
But not all effects of going through breast cancer are physical or obvious. When going through treatment, surgery and rehabilitation, it can feel like it is just one appointment after the other and often you can feel like there is no time to actually process what is happening - it can be one small thing that triggers you, sometimes even years later.
We spend a lot of our time being "ok", because when we are ok so are our family and friends.
